Hi Max

Another excellent report which you have spent some time researching and putting together.

Video is getting more and more popular especially with the younger age groups who are more up to date with the modern technology.

As you say in the report for marketing purposes the video should be short. I detest those videos whaich are long and do not have a time bar so that you can skip forward, they make you watch the whole length and I wonder how many people actually watch to the end?

Excellent info, Max. I’ve been reading up on some of the predictions for 2012, but none of them has gone into the detail, especially concerning video, that you have. I’m afraid I’m one of the slow adopters to using video in my marketing, and as said in one of the quotes, I’m “scrambling to catch up.” But the facts and trends you have compiled are compelling and it just won’t be as easy to maintain an effective online presence without video anymore.

Oh, one more thing, and it’s a big thing to me: I appreciate immensely your correct usage of language. Minimal typos, no outrageous mistakes of grammar and spelling due to the growing attitude of dismissal of their importance. It’s disheartening to see our language deteriorating to such a degree. I don’t know if it’s more common because of the Internet, or if it’s just more noticeable because of the Internet. I still believe writing well is a sign of a professional and results in a more credible product (essay, report, book, blog post, email, etc.). Thanks for a really credible report!

Thank you for your comments, Robbie.

Yes, there isn’t much out there that talks about video from the point of view of the “little guys.” Understandable, as market research reports are highly targeted. They are written for clients who have the money to have their own interests and concerns addressed. By definition it’s the big players who pay the piper. Which is not bad in itself because if you know how to, you can extract tons of information from their reports that is useful for us.

Well, as far as language and writing go, I guess it’s the fad that you should write as you speak, which is partly responsible for what we find out there. It seems that there are a large number of pretty inarticulate people around. I couldn’t agree more with your point.
